Once upon a time a young farmer’s daughter had a big dream to one day she will get married in the barn at the top of the farm. In 2022 this dream came true!
Back in 2018 work began to transform this old run down storage barn, In Shipton in Shropshire, into a dream events venue.
After cleaning out the barn from all of its contents that had been in there for YEARS, the scaffolding went up, we removed all the original roof tiles to be able to rebuild the roof and all the wooden panels.
The old stone walls were also repointed back to their former glory. We added huge windows to the front of the barn to let as much light in as possible.
Internal steel frame was put in to help with the weight of the new roof and a new floor was laid. With a lick of paint it all suddenly started to come together.
A new side access door was add to make it easier to enter the barn.
And by 2022 the job had been done and Upper Meadow barn was ready to host it’s first wedding !! What do you think ????
